Gavin W. Hooks, DVM is a native of the St. Louis area, and was raised on a farm just west of St. Louis County. He attended the University of Missouri at Columbia and finished his undergraduate work with a B. S. in Animal Science. After graduating, he worked in medical sales for 6 years, after which he went back to the University of Missouri and acquired his Doctorate from the College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Hooks specializes in small animal medicine and surgery. Diagnostic Medicine is his area of special interest. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Missouri Veterinary Medical Association.
His favorite hobbies are photography, hiking and writing. He is also a Bible study leader and teacher at his church. His family includes 3 children, 2 dogs and 1 cat.
